This innovative Dutch design by Van Raam allows co-riders to remain seated in their own wheelchair while riding. The wheelchair is easily wheeled onto the bike with no lifting; this effortless integration is what makes this cycle popular with both care facilities and individuals who are unable to transfer from their chair. With a tilting ramp, quick-fitting vehicle rated security straps as well as extra waistbelt for the user, it takes no time at all to ride into the fresh air and sunshine.

The extra-wide front wheels provide a stable secure ride and the 26” rear wheel gives a boost of extra power. With 8 gears, hydraulic front brakes, a parking brake, safety lock and waist belt as standard, this bike may be tailored with various adjustments and fitted with a multitude of options, including a separating frame, child adaptors, and back pedal brakes.

The Van Raam Velo Plus is available with a range of optional e-assist motors designed especially by Van Raam under the “Silent System” name. The motors include digital readout, a variety of perceptive assist options, and all are linkable to a smartphone app.

This bike can accommodate most manual wheelchairs (up to 74” in width) and further custom adaptations are available.
